Attention Boaters: Safety Notice Recall of Mustang Survival PFDs Please Read
The Marine Patrol enforces marine laws and ordinances and provides high-visibility patrol in county waterways, investigates boating accidents and related crime scenes and offers boating education and other related safety courses to residents.
Marine Patrol Volunteers augment the Deputy Sheriffs, and follow responsibilities and duties of a Deputy Sheriff, but do not have arrest powers.
Safe boating is the primary goal of the Marine Patrol.
One of the Marine Patrols project is to promote safety for our children.

Due to the emergency nature of the unit’s duties, a practice of close cooperation and mutual assistance with several agencies whose responsibilities overlap our own is pursued. These agencies include, but are not limited to the following:
